hexagon us_Architect-us stand fair_Architect-us design competition 2016
The major premise of the contest is using a sole manufactured material, with fixed mesures and format. This premise, leads to a proposal where using the materials efficiently and finding the best assembly process are the main designing goals. The proposal is made by wood plates, cut and assembled without any adhesive. The assembly is achieved by folding the different pieces that conform the stand fair. Basic furniture made from the material leftover, specifically a table and some chairs, complete the stand fair design.
La premisa fundamental del concurso de utilizar un único material manufacturado en un único formato y con unas medidas determinadas, llevan a una propuesta en la que el aprovechamiento del material y su montaje es lo más importante.
El diseño planteado se organiza sobre las planchas del material proporcionado permitiendo que el montaje se haga sin necesidad de encolados ni adhesivos de ningún tipo, solamente mediante pliegues que hacen encajar las diferentes piezas.
Un mobiliario básico compuesto de mesa y sillas surge del material sobrante, completando el diseño del stand de la feria.
